Last week, culturemap Austin reported that Thomas Phifer and Partners has been tapped to design a 5,000-person auditorium for Waterloo Park, closed for the past several years for the construction of the Waller Creek flood bypass. Phifer is known for gorgeous white and translucent architecture, so I'm all in. The amphitheater would be a generous gift from the Galveston-based Moody Foundation.
