the architecture of death

A little morbid, perhaps, but I reckon a forward-thinking architect might think a wee bit about the last bit of architecture they leave on the planet: namely, their grave. Interestingly, I couldn't find anything on R.M. Schindler's grave. Cremation?

Adolf Loos (1870-1933)

Giuseppe Perugini (1914-1995)

Bruce Goff (1904-1982)

Louis Sullivan (1856-1924)

Frank Lloyd Wright (1869-1959)

Richard Neutra (1892-1970)

Otto Wagner (1841-1918)

Bruno Taut (1880-1938)

Carlos Scarpa (1906-1978) He designed the entire cemetery!

Le Corbusier (1887-1965)

Memorial stone for Le Corbusier at Eileen Gray's e-1027 house,
where Corbu drowned while taking a swim.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969)

Walter Gropius (1883-1969)

R. Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983)

Hans Scharoun (1893-1972)

Alvar Aalto (1898-1976)

Charles Eames (1907-1978)
